An overnight or multi-night charter changes the trip entirely: the day visitors leave, the anchorage goes quiet, and you have places like Whitehaven Beach in the early morning almost to yourselves.

Getting married out here

Yes, it is legal to marry on a yacht in the Whitsundays. You need a registered marriage celebrant, two adult witnesses, and a Notice of Intended Marriage lodged at least one month before the ceremony. The captain cannot marry you unless they also happen to be a registered celebrant. The location on your paperwork is recorded as the vessel name and the nearest bay.
